Wild Clay Tour
HISTORIC & WILD CLAY TOUR
The Bornholm underground encompasses several different types of clay. Each individual type has a unique texture, porosity, colour, properties, expression and specific possible uses. This day is dedicated to wild clay and the potential inherent in our underground resources.
With this, a long and important ceramic culture has arisen. The Wild Clay Tour is a guided bus trip around the island to its wild clay sites, led by wild clay specialists from Cassius Clay, Anne Mette Hjortshøj, Jesper Larsen and Ann Charlotte Ohlsson.
Keep in mind, digging clay from the old pits and other sites visited, is strictly prohibited.
