MARIE HJORTH & NANNA HERTOFT – CERAMICS AND GOBELINS

There is an affinity between two grand old ladies of Danish craft art – Marie Hjorth and Nanna Hertoft – and between their works of art. Both are intimately linked to an organic realm and exude unmistakable Nordic imagery through their use of green, blue and finely balanced earthen colours. This is enhanced by their respect for the thousand-year-old traditions of pottery-making and weaving, their exquisite proficiency and their sense of compositional balance. And last but not least, by their never-ending pursuit of quality and excellence in every respect.
